About the Item

Exquisite, rare and iconic art glass bowl, plate, dish or vessel designed by Ercole Barovier circa 1965 and manufactured by the legendary Italian art glass furnaces of Barovier Toso in Murano, Italy. A true work of art. Known as Efeso this technique involves abstract bubbles of varying sizes enveloping this art glass decorative bowl. The end result is a dramatic but yet very organic design that resembles bubbling blue water or as if peering deep into an aquatic lagoon. A truly iconic work of glass art for the discerning collector of the finest Italian art glass. Ideal for any design style or taste, from mid century modern to classic, organic or contemporary. Barovier and Toso is a luxury Italian company that creates high-end Murano glass art objects, with a history tracing back to 1295 on the island of Murano. The company is known for its master artisans who use a unique Venetian crystal formula, combining centuries-old glassblowing traditions with innovative designs and techniques from legendary artists like Ercole Barovier.
