This finely crafted ceramic bowl displays a delicate form with slightly flared rim and raised foot. The surface is covered in a warm ochre glaze, enriched by hand-painted floral motifs in dark brown, highlighted with touches of flowing green glaze, creating a natural and spontaneous decorative effect. A double-line band encircles the interior and exterior rim, adding rhythm and balance to the design.
The base bears a neatly inscribed apocryphal six-character Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi (Made in the Xuande period of the Great Ming Dynasty) mark within double circles, suggesting reverence to the celebrated Ming dynasty ceramic tradition.
The piece is characterized by its rustic elegance, subtle crackle to the glaze, and painterly decoration that merges restraint with vitality. Its restrained palette and tactile glaze evoke the timeless charm of early Chinese utilitarian wares elevated to refined artistry.
It probably belongs to the early Qing period, a more precisely to a period between the end og 18th and the beginning of 19th century.
