About the Item
Large Danish Art Deco bowl from the ceramic workshop Michael Andersen
Søn (MA&S). Designed and made ca. 1940s.
It's decorated with vertical ribbing very typical for this period as also seen in the work of Danish ceramist Arne Bang. On the outside it has a black lustre glaze contrasted by a matte ochre brown surface on the inside.
It has a perfect size to be used as a fruit bowl.
The bowl is marked on bottom with the Michael Andersen
Søn backstamp and the model number 4261.
