This finely crafted turned wood vessel is by renowned Atlanta-based artist Ed Moulthrop (1916-2003). Originally trained as an architect, Moulthrop became famous for his elegantly simple vessels, designed to highlight the beauty of Southern hardwoods. The piece features the artist's signature cypher and comes from the collection of Martha Nierenberg, founder of Dansk. It remains in good original condition. Moulthrop, a Yale-educated architect, was also known for inventing the tools necessary to create these exceptional wooden works.
