A magnificent large decorative and serving bowl designed and handcrafted by Emilia Castillo, one of Mexico’s most important contemporary designers working in porcelain and silver. Produced in Taxco, Mexico, this striking piece exemplifies Castillo’s artistry, where nature and craftsmanship meet in perfect balance.
The bowl is crafted in fine porcelain and richly inlaid with pure silver (plata pura). The surface is decorated with whimsical swirling vines, heart-shaped leaves, and delicate blossoms, creating an elegant natural flow across the interior and exterior. Three finely worked butterflies in silver relief — two inside and one gracefully placed on the outside — complete the composition, evoking a sense of movement and lightness.
