About the Item

This is a very good early, First period (Dr. Wall), Worcester porcelain leaf shaped Pickle Dish in a deep cobalt blue floral pattern with a Crescent mark to the base. dating to 1770 to 1775. This is a well potted moulded porcelain piece showing the leaf vein detail to the underside. The leaf dish is decorated in a deep cobalt blue floral pattern with a Worcester open crescent mark to the base. Please see illustrations 283 and 285 for similar pieces, in the book; Caughley Worcester Porcelains 1775-1800 by Geoffrey A Godden.
