Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown white opal, with green and aventurine murrines Italian art glass scissor cut rim bowl. The piece is documented to the Fratelli Toso company. The bowl is made with thick white opalescent glass, with dot decoration throughout. The green and copper aventurine spots glitter in any light. The bowl has a flared out shape, with scissor cut rim at the middle, and the pieces folded out and flattened to the body like a bow tie. As you can see, the opal glass reflects an orange shadow, like flames, hence the name "Fiery Opal" from collectors. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, side table or credenza. Use it as a catchall, candy or jewelry dish. Mid-century era. Measures: 6 1/2" long x 5" wide x 3 5/8" high.
