About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown opalescent white and twisted pink ribbons Italian art glass footed bowl. The piece is documented to the Fratelli Toso company, circa 1956. The design is published (see info below). The bowl has a scalloped flared out rim. The ribbons have glittery copper aventurine flecks over white, on the opposite side of the pink color. Has hints of blue on dark backgrounds and orange from the "fiery" opal glass when direct sunlight hits it. You can really see this in the shadow of the bowl. Would make a great display piece on any console table, dresser or coffee table. Use it as a catchall, or candy dish. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures: 8" across x 4 3/4" high.
The design, in vase form (which I previously owned with original label), is published in the Fratelli Toso book.
