About the Item

A phenomenal hand-carved wood double trough which through the processes of time and weather is now regarded as Found Sculpture. The wood is quite heavy and the age patina is excellent. Strongly worn, the smaller bowl section has been completely worn through adding interest. The Trough has many appropriate signs of age and use discussed below and while it would make an incredible statement shown vertically on a custom stand, it is just as powerful in its intended horizontal positioning. Dimensions: 42” wide by 13” deep by 5.25” high. Condition: Please see detail photos. The Trough is tough, heavy and stable in its distressed condition having worn areas, stable age splitting and losses that add to the incredible Primitive presentation.
