About the Item

Striking large centerpiece bowl from the renowned Ikora series by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), Germany, circa 1930s. This sculptural piece features a shallow, wide conical form with a vividly turquoise-green patinated surface, accented by abstract cross-hatched engravings radiating from the center. The contrasting dark underside and four circular disc feet give it a distinctly Art Deco yet modernist character. The Ikora line, developed by WMF in the late 1920s, was celebrated for its innovative surface treatments and experimental metal patination techniques, creating unique color effects and textures on each piece.
