About the Item

Lee Rosen for Design-Technics large, biomorphic sgrafitto bowl with a seed pod / leaf motif. This bowl dates from the early to mid-1950s as it features an early "dt" mark on the underside. Lee and Sam Rosen operated Design-Technics from the mid- 1940s till the 1980s. During its existence Design-Technics was one of the the leading (to-the-trade) supplier of lamps, architectural tile and decorative ceramic objects in the nation. This bowl is an exceptional post-war example of their work.
