About the Item

Hand-blown transparent Murano glass bird decorated bowl by Licio Zanetti, mid 20th century. This is a gorgeous work with two birds charmingly perched on the edge of a birdbath styled bowl. Its shallow basin beautifully portrays calm water by soft curves creating dimension and the effect of gentle movement. The bowl's shape is lightly freeform and flowing. It is very smooth to the touch and its thick-bodied form has good weight. A refined way to present candies, used as a centerpiece for a small table, on a desk or in a powder room for guest towels but would be elegant anywhere and could be purposed in endless ways. An expertly crafted bowl of a cheerful, tranquil theme with incredible beauty. It is in very good condition, no chips or cracks. Signed on the underside. Height of the bowl not including the birds is 3 inches.
