About the Item
Beautiful and delicate Memphis era Pinkwater Glass Studio blown colored glass bowl with handle from 1988. Bowl in solid black glass with pale blue-gray oblong designs on the outside, plum color rim and sitting on a plum color ring shaped base. The handle in sommerso method with a pastel blue rod surrounded by clear glass attached to bowl with a clear ring form.
Pinkwater Glass Studio was founded in 1983 in Carmel, New York. The artisan owners, Lisa Schwartz and Kurt Swanson, are known for their use of colors in their production of high quality studio glass. Pinkwater Glass pieces are displayed in the permanent collection of the White House, Smithsonian American Art Museum and Renwick Gallery among others.
Condition: Very Good. No issues.
