About the Item
Mid Century Free Form Ceramic Bowl by Flora Eckert Hammat, Turquoise Art Pottery
Stunning naturalistic pottery bowl by an American ceramics artist, Flora Eckert Hammat of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Vivid colors, original organic form.
Signed Hammat original and numbered 326. This artist produced this remarkable bi-form pottery between 1945 and 1961. Her pieces were carried by Neiman Marcus in the pottery’s heyday. Flora’s work was prized by floral designers and garden clubs, it lends itself so well to flower display. Imagine a cluster of magnolias floating on water in this bowl. The blue-green glaze is so beautiful and would look wonderful on any table, console or countertop.
Perfect condition, no chips or cracks.
