About the Item
A stylish and heavy vintage Norwegian brass bowl with granite from the mines of Sulitjelma in the Norwegian region Laponia.
Made by Saulo / Sulitjelma Stein og Metall, Norway, 1960s.
Good condition, some wear consistent with age and use.
A Norwegian product from the 60s made of beautifully polished stone and brass The polished stone is ore from Sulitjelma. Much of this ore comes from the Gieken-Charlotta mine which is dominated by quartz, muscovite, pyrite and a small amount of chalcopyrite. These minerals are therefore visible in the stone and make these candlesticks a beautiful home accessory.
