About the Item
Amazing murano decorative Center piece bowl made with varying colored art glass. This decorative piece was made in the 1970s by murano artisans using the sommerso technique. This murano technique called sommerso which means “submerged” in Italian uses two or more layers of art glass without blending the colours together. For this bowl, the sommerso technique uses black, green, yellow/amber and some hints of white Art glass to create a unique and contrasting look. It’s made as a free form and asymmetrical piece which is beautifully shown in the lines of the art glass. It’s in great condition, some scratches may be present on the inside of the bowl and on base. Glass bubbles are present within the bowl which is normal with art glass blown pieces.
