About the Item

A Murano glass bowl in pink and blue sommerso glass, Italy, circa 1970s. Attributed to Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d’Arte, the piece features layers of vivid pink and cool blue submerged in clear crystal using the sommerso technique—producing depth and colour saturation characteristic of mid-century Murano glass. Oval in form, the bowl is defined by four evenly lobed sides that gently flare outward, giving the piece a sculptural, fluid presence. The clear outer casing magnifies the internal colour bands, enhancing their contrast and clarity. Dimensions Width: 18 cm Depth: 10 cm Height: 6 cm Condition Very good vintage condition. Minor wear to the base and a few minuscule edge nicks, consistent with age and use. A bold and well-proportioned example of 1970s Murano glass, suitable as a vide-poche, centrepiece bowl or display piece.
