About the Item

Beautiful large vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso yellow and orange stripe Italian art glass rock shaped ashtray / sculpture. Created in the manner of designer Antonio da Ros for Cenedese, and Salviati. The bowl almost glows by itself in normal daylight with such a bright color, but under a black light, the Uranium glass really lights up with a bright neon green color. The bowl also has a bright orange stripe draped inside the glass. It is a solid and thick piece of glass. Very heavy piece. There is an indent on the rim, to place a cigar or cigarette. Would make a great display piece on any console table, dresser or coffee table. Use it as a catchall, ashtray or sculptural piece. Mid-century era. Measures: 8 1/4" long x 5 1/4" wide x 3 1/4" high.
