A characteristic bowl by Nils Kähler from the Kähler workshop in Næstved, executed in the warm uranium glaze with geometric decoration. A fine example of Kähler’s combination of traditional craftsmanship and mid-century modernist aesthetics.
Nils Kähler (1906–1979) was part of the fourth generation of the renowned Kähler ceramics family in Næstved. Active from the 1930s to the 1970s, he left his mark on the workshop’s production through a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and the functionalist design language of the time. His works in uranium and brownish glazes are today highly sought after by collectors.
