The form combines modernist simplicity with subtle proportions, making the piece both functional and decorative. Nils Thorsson (1898–1975) was a Danish ceramicist and designer who spent his entire career at Royal Copenhagen. He is particularly known for his stoneware designs from the 1930s to the 1960s and for creating several of the company’s most popular series, including the Baca and Tenera ranges. His work represents a union of Scandinavian modernism and refined glaze experimentation.
