About the Item
Objecte 01 is a handmade fruit bowl crafted in grogged clay by renowned Catalan ceramicist Rosa Cortiella. This sculptural piece belongs to a limited series of ceramic objects where forceful volumetrics interact with fragility, balance, and color.
Each bowl is individually shaped, showcasing Cortiella’s signature approach to form, material experimentation, and contemporary ceramic expression. Made using grogged clay, the surface offers textural depth and earthy presence, while maintaining functionality as a fruit bowl or sculptural centerpiece.
Rosa Cortiella has worked professionally in ceramics since 1988. With a background in sculpture, color research, and product design, her pieces move fluidly between disciplines. She has created limited-edition designs for haute cuisine and is currently head of R&D at MUD Ceramics Factory, while also teaching and curating.
