Elegant pair of Art Deco centerpieces designed by Jean E. Puiforcat, France, circa 1930s.
Each piece is a stunning example of Puiforcat’s refined aesthetic: a wide flared bowl in silver-plated metal rests on a circular base with an elegant column formed by gilded silver rings and a central onyx element, creating a luxurious contrast between metallic brilliance and the soft translucency of stone. This harmonious combination reflects the geometric purity and sophisticated material language characteristic of French Art Deco.
Stamped with Puiforcat’s maker’s mark, these centerpieces embody the exceptional craftsmanship of one of the most important silversmiths of the 20th century. Their sculptural yet functional design makes them ideal as statement pieces for dining tables, consoles, or sideboards.
In very good vintage condition, with light wear and original patina consistent with age. They can be professionally polished if desired, but their current finish preserves their authentic charm.
