About the Item

Rotola Wood Tabletop by Francesco Zonca Numbered series signed Dimensions: D 32 x W 32 x H 18 cm Materials: Wood, patina. An ornament empty pockets that follows you. It rotates, it rolls. “Geometrie Collection” is born from the strength of geometric lines, which reflect the simplicity and elegance of solid geometries. Curves and lines that recall Japanese minimalism have strongly influenced the last years of my life. “Geometrie” was conceived in Tokyo by an Italian mind and produced in Italy to be spread all around the world. Simple products but with very refined and convivial lines, made to be touched and experienced. Materic, warm, and lively products. Francesco Zonca was born on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Italy. He is a distinguished designer with a rich academic background. He holds degrees from the “Università degli Studi di Pavia” in building engineering and architecture and from the “Tongji University” of Shanghai in Architecture and Urban Planning. He embarked on his professional journey in Milan before relocating to Tokyo to join the esteemed “Sou Fujimoto Architects,” where he currently works as a Senior Designer. In 2020, Francesco Zonca founded his own firm, “FrancescoZoncaStudio,” operating in parallel with his role at Sou Fujimoto Architects. Through this venture, he delves deeper into his passion for crafting furniture and interior spaces. Additionally, he has emerged as a sought-after freelance furniture designer, collaborating with private clients, brands, and galleries worldwide. Zonca’s design ethos is characterized by the adept use of clean and simple lines, a testament to his commitment to upholding the cherished tradition of pure and tactile materials.
