About the Item
Ruby red art glass Murano sommerso decorative bowl and/or ashtray. This lovely piece is made in a vibrant ruby red art glass using the sommerso technique in which is a " Murano glassmaking technique creating layers of different colored glass within a single piece, giving the illusion of colors submerged or "sunken" without mixing, often with a clear outer layer". This sommerso technique was a common skill used by Murano Maestros and is often seen as a signature of Murano Art glass design. There's three pieces available, Sold INDIVIDUALLY. In overall good condition, some signs of wear such as scratches may be present. Air bubbles are naturally expected in Art glass.
