About the Item
ABOUT
An original hand-blown sapphire blue glass bowl designed and signed by the renowned Danish glassblower Per Lütken for the Holmegaard glass factory. Engraved with Holmegaard, the artist's mark PL, and the production number 17793. Original label.
Part of the iconic Provence series designed in 1955. These bowls were mouth-blown without a mold, meaning that while they follow the 1955 design "template," every individual piece has a slightly unique shape. During the 1950s, the factory focused heavily on "living" glass—pieces that felt organic and fluid.
