About the Item

An impressive ceramic bowl, handcrafted by the Belgian artist Sylvain Sttublet in the 1930s. This remarkable object has a round base and a distinctive design typical of the artist's work. Inside, the bowl features three sculpted heads, crafted like mascarons (to ward off the spirits). In the center is a flower-like motif, and on the outside are leaves/waves that encircle the bowl. The three-dimensional elements/incised decoration have a different color than the rest of the surface. These sections are a metallic black-brown, while the base color of the bowl is an attractive ochre. Measurements approx.: height 3,15 in - 8 cm, diameter 9,45 in - 24 cm. A special piece of artist-designed ceramic, signed and numbered, that will be a wonderful eye-catcher in your interior.
