About the Item
An Italian maiolica berrettino-ground riser from 18th century, central Italy, probably Faenza origin. In the central part of the riser a ruined tower is painted within a mountain landscape background; the outermost circular part is decorated with a brown color in an oily suspension with a particularly pleasing effect. In good condition apart from minimal chipping on the rim. See listed pictures below.
