About the Item

An Italian maiolica berrettino-ground riser from 18th century, central Italy, probably Faenza origin. In the central part of the riser a ruined tower is painted within a mountain landscape background; the outermost circular part is decorated with a brown color in an oily suspension with a particularly pleasing effect. In good condition apart from minimal chipping on the rim. See listed pictures below. Period: 1750 circa Measures: Height: 3.4 cm Diameter: 19.5 cm This artwork is shipped from Italy.
