About the Item

A sculptural handcrafted art glass dish attributed to Max Verboeket for Kristalunie Maastricht, circa 1960s. This striking piece features a triangular form with thick, clear glass walls accented by fine ribbons of transparent green glass. Each point of the triangular dish has been expertly hand-manipulated in its molten state, creating an intentionally "collapsed" effect. The result is a highly sculptural and organic shape where the rigid geometry of the triangle is softened by the human touch. The base is perfectly polished, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and skill of the maker. This rare dish is attributed to Max Verboeket’s early work for Kristalunie Maastricht in the 1960s, a period marked by his innovative approach to blending form and fluidity in glass design. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the piece exemplifies the artistry and experimentation that defined his career. The sculptural glass dish measures 15 cm deep, 14 cm wide, and 6.5 cm in height. It remains in excellent condition for its age and use, still bright, bold, and sparkling with a perfectly smooth, glossy surface.
