About the Item

This piece is as functional as it is decorative. It is ideal for an entryway table, coffee table, or desk to hold keys, coins, or small objects. It also works beautifully as a standalone decorative object, adding a luxurious and artistic touch to any modern or vintage-inspired interior. The dish is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is some minor wear and patina to the gold finish, which is consistent with its age and adds to its character. This is a remarkable vintage vide poche (French for "empty pockets"), a true statement piece of Italian postmodern design from the 1980s. The piece is marked "Capodimonte" with the traditional crown and N, The dish has a distinctive, irregular square shape with a raised, sculptural relief. The design is a dynamic mix of geometric and abstract patterns, with a captivating contrast between the textured black surface and the shimmering gold.
