An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V Scottish sterling silver and glass hors d'oeuvre set; an addition to our silver cruet and condiments collection These exceptional antique George V Scottish sterling silver hors d'oeuvre dishes have an circular form. The subtly faceted glass body of each dish features a plain elevated handpiece to either side. Each antique dish is fitted with an impressive hallmarked sterling silver cover, surmounted with a plain rounded handle to the centre. These exceptional antique dishes sit to the original sterling silver plates/trays. Each plate is plain and unembellished, with a plain raised rounded border. Each dish retains the Hamilton Inches London sterling silver hors d'oeurve fork, each with an incurved heel below the two curvilinear tines. These impressive dishes are fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box, with a satin and velvet lined interior and securing with a push fit catch. The interior of the cover bears the retailer's mark 'By Appointment, Hamilton Inches, 88 Princes Street, Edinburgh'. Condition These antique sterling silver and glass hors d'oeuvre dishes are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Each component has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The original glass vessels are in perfect condition. The original box is also in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each cover and plate, in addition to the reverse of each fork are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver three piece condiment/cruet set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian English sterling silver condiment set consists of a mustard pot and two condiment shakers. The shakers have a circular rounded form to a circular pedestal foot and the mustard pot has an oval form onto four bun style feet. The surface of each component is encircled with impressive pierced decoration, comprising interlacing arch and oval designs accented with circular motifs. The upper and lower portion of the mustard pot is further embellished with a gadroon decorated border, and the posterior surface bears a shaped sterling silver handle. The exceptional mustard pot is fitted with the original domed hinged cover, surmounted with baluster shaped finial. These condiment shakers each retain the original domed hallmarked push fit cover ornamented with pierced decoration. This is an exquisite and rare antique pair of English silver plated on copper entree dishes stamped Walker & Hall Sheffield Plate Old Style, and dated Circa 1860. The dishes are of rectangular shaped form with gaddrooned and acanthus leaf borders with detachable handles. In excellent condition, these wonderful entree dishes are ready to grace your dining table. A truly exquisite pair that would make a fine addition to any antique collection. Condition: In excellent condition with clear makers marks and no dings, dents or signs of repair. Please see photos for confirmation.
