Expo Art Glass Plate by Olle Alberius for Orrefors, Sweden 1977 This striking art glass plate is part of the 'Tree of Live' series designed by Swedish artist Olle Alberius (1926–1993) for the Orrefors glassworks. Crafted from clear glass with vibrant colored inclusions and engravings, the piece features sculptural detailing that gives it depth and visual movement. At its center is a stylized violet flower with a bright orange core, complemented by engraved leaf motifs that reflect the expressive character of mid-century art glass design. An engraved signature 'Orrefors Expo OA 611 - 77 Olle Alberius' is located along the rim, and the piece also retains its original Orrefors label, confirming its authenticity. Olle Alberius (1926 - 1993) was a Swedish glass designer and ceramicist. Large Vetro Soffiato Glass Dish by Vittorio Zecchin for Venini Murano ca. 1925 A very large 'vetro soffiato' glass dish in amethyst transparent glass, designed by Vittorio Zecchin in 1925 and manufactured by Venini, Murano Venice. Acid stamped signature 'venini murano ITALIA' on the base. Venini model number 1306. The dish has been manufactured in different sizes, this is the second largest version which is very rare. One of the early 20th century designs of Zecchin for Cappellin and Venini which motivated the muranese glass companies to set out for new shores. Good condition with some surface scratches.
