About the Item
A hand-painted terracotta wall plate from Horezu, Romania, known for its centuries-old ceramic tradition recognized by UNESCO for its cultural heritage.
The shallow, thrown form features incised concentric rings and a central rosette surrounded by fluid, feathered motifs in ochre, green, and cobalt glazes—a hallmark of Horezu’s distinctive “flown glaze” technique, in which colors blend naturally during firing.
