About the Item
Large Modernist vide-poche or low bowl in olive green tones with an impressive blue flame in the center. The blue effects are replicated onto the outside edge of the ceramic. It comes with a thick glaze.
Scandinavian Mid-Century 1960s, produced by Palshus (Denmark), founded by Per and his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt.
The couple created and produced chamotte (danish clay) objects, often with impressed decorations (tableware, vases, and lamps). Colors were characteristic Scandinavian earthy tones: blues, browns, greens and beige.
Many other talented ceramic artists also worked for Palshus including Jens H. Quistgaard and Esben Klint.
The plate is signed under the base : Palshus and APLS for Annelise Per Linnemann-Schmidt, model C112.
