About the Item

A vibrant Murano filigrana glass dish, attributed to Cenedese Alberelli, Italy, circa 1970s. This small decorative dish showcases classic Murano glass artistry, with alternating swirls of green and cobalt blue glass, accented by fine ribbons of aventurine—a metal-infused glass that catches the light with a subtle metallic shimmer. Crafted using the traditional filigrana technique, the dish features a shallow circular bowl with a freeform rim that has been hand-shaped to curl upward at one edge. This sculptural manipulation lends the piece a sense of movement, echoing the expressive forms typical of 1970s Italian glass design. Measuring approximately 11 cm in diameter and 3 cm high, the scale makes it ideal as a Murano vide poche, jewellery dish, or mid-century decorative accent. Though compact, it is rich in visual detail—its vivid colour palette and swirling form are signature traits of collectible Murano decorative glassware. In very good vintage condition with only light surface wear consistent with age and careful use.
