About the Item

Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown frothy bubbles over pink Italian art glass bowl or personal ashtray. Created in the "Pulegoso" technique, with thousands of tiny bubbles creating the dot pattern. The bowl has a decorative indent on the rim that could be used as a handle or to place a cigarette. It is made with very thick glass and is heavy for its size. There is also a middle layer of black glass, making the bubbles look like a gray layer. It is attributed to designer Alfredo Barbini. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Use it as a catchall, ashtray or candy dish. Mid-century era. Measurements: 5 1/4" long x 4 1/2" wide x 2" high.
