Limited-edition pâte-de-verre glass plate by Salvador Dalí for Daum, France, 1970. Cast in textured brown glass with raised gilt highlights and inscribedCeci n’est pas une assiette. The work reflects Dalí’s surrealist wordplay realized through Daum’s kiln-cast glass technique. Edition 259/2000; signed to rim, with Daum – Made in Franceand edition to underside. Accompanied by the original numbered box, sleeve, and Daum certificate. Produced with Daum’s kiln-cast glass process, the edition exemplifies late-20th-century French art glass collaborations and Dalí’s textual paradox within a functional decorative form.
