About the Item
Pavé ou brique ou vide poche de verre carré Nevada modèle 2032. Bloc de verre extra clair, moulé d’une seule pièce créé par la compagnie Saint - Gobain en 1928. Excellent état : Pavé de verre neuf, stock d’époque, intact.
Il a été utilisé dès 1929 par Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret et Charlotte Perriand pour leur stand présenté au " Salon d'automne sur l'Équipement intérieur" d'une habitation. Le pavé de verre a été rapidement détourner en vide poche ou encore cendrier. Il a été notamment largement utilisé par Jacques Adnet. La brique Nevada devient un élément incontournable et emblématique de l’architecture moderne. En témoigne, la maison la maison de verre de Pierre Chareau réalisée entre 1928 et 1931 ou encore l’immeuble Clarté réalisé par Le Corbusier et Pierre Jeanneret entre 1930 et 1932, site inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO.
