About the Item

Large opalescent bowl in molded glass decorated with birds of paradise, circa 1930, attributed to Verlux. In very good condition, micro scratches from use. Not signed. Diameter: 39,5 cm Height: 8,5 cm Weight: 3,6 Kg The doubt remains as to the origin of the VERLUX brand (which would be located in the 2 wars). By the quality of the pieces made and the detail of the decorations, it could be that this brand is a Sub-brand of Edmond ETLING. Indeed the artistic originality of the decorative motifs reminds us of Lalique, Sabino or Sèvres. The same pattern of pine cones can be found on Etling's castings.
