An 18th century French fariniere, made of walnut with nicely detailed hand carved sunflower relief on front panel. Good craftsmanship with dovetailed construction. Waxed patina. From Provence, a fariniere is a decorative sliding paneled box used for storing flour. Circa 1780-1800. Dimensions: 17.5"H x 9"W x 4"D We have a large selection of French antiques.
