About the Item
Antique 19th Century English solid silver cigar case. Rectangular with rounded edges, the case is decorated throughout with an engine-turned pattern and features a central blank cartouche. The interior is richly gilt, fitted with a sprung clip adorned with a finely detailed pierced acanthus leaf design to secure cigars.
Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1877, Maker's mark H.W.D (Henry William Dee).
