About the Item
Playing card suit-shaped box “heart” in 925/1000 sterling silver with red fired enamel in Art Deco style, early 1900s. With lost hinge, i.e. semi-invisible. Dimensions cm. 9.5 x 10 x 1.8. Weight gr. 218. Designed by Renato Salimbeni in 1951 inspired by previous products also by the Salimbeni company, and manufactured in Florence with manual workmanship by skilled artisan artists with a high thickness plate and large reinforcements suitable for withstanding numerous high-fire enamelling firings at around 800° C
