About the Item
Oval table box in 925/1000 sterling silver gold plated with fired enamels, with pure gold “paillons” on the upper circle, fine fired enamel miniature with an image of a “landscape with ruins” hand-painted by the painter Bruno Corsari, enameled edge with vertical stripes. French Empire Napoleon III style. Dimensions: 6.3 x 8.7 cm, height 5.5 cm. Weight 360 g. Designed by Franco Salimbeni in 1967 and produced in Florence at the Salimbeni company headquarters with manual workmanship by skilled artisans with thick sheet metal and large reinforcements suitable for withstanding numerous enamel firings at high temperatures at around 800° C.
