About the Item

A Chinese antique wooden treasure chest from the early 20th century with rattan accents and dark brass handles. This charming Chinese wooden chest features a black lacquered structure, adorned with rattan on its outer section. The lid opens thanks to a dark brass lock to reveal a simple storage section, perfect to conceal documents or on the opposite, to remain open in order to display decorative objects. The sides showcase C-scroll shaped handles, allowing the piece to be moved easily, while the ensemble is resting on bracket feet connected to one another through a plinth with russet hue. With its small proportions and understated presence, this Chinese wooden treasure chest circa 1900 will be a great decorative accent in any home, perhaps placed in a bedroom, living room or hallway.
