1930s Bourjois Art Deco Navy Blue Enamel and Chrome Makeup Compact with Unused Powder and Puff
This exquisite 1930s Art Deco Bourjois compact exemplifies the sophistication and modernist style of the era. Crafted in chrome and navy blue enamel, the octagonal form showcases a bold and dynamic geometric design, an abstracted, asymmetrical sunburst motif radiating diagonal and undulating rays, flanked by two panels of deep navy enamel. The result is a composition both architectural and elegant, embodying the essence of Art Deco luxury and precision craftsmanship.
The base of the compact features finely engraved vertical lines and a central rectangular cartouche beautifully inscribed with “Bourjois”, attesting to the renowned French brand’s legacy of quality and innovation. Inside, the compact opens to reveal a hexagonal framed mirror on one side and a powder compartment on the other, complete with its original unused face powder, still protected by its floral-embossed tissue, and an untouched Bourjois puff.
