About the Item

19th century turned sycamore and mahogany salt box from England. The top of the box has a wonderfully turned back portion from which the box can be hung, following down to a flat back piece for easy placement against a wall. The box itself is made from a mixed composition of sycamore and mahogany wood staves, in varying colors, all wonderfully hand turned and shaped for a lovely silhouette. The lid is turned as well, and compliments the box.
