About the Item

19th century hand painted Scandinavian oval strong box circa 1850. Good quality piece of rustic Swedish craft work, which still functions as a practical storage solution for today. Dome top and oval shaped body, encased in original metal strap work.  Original paint which has now taken on a very faded appearance.  Painted white on the inside. Lock no longer present and has been removed.  Expected losses to metal work and surface marks to woodwork.
