About the Item
Antique 20th Century English solid silver and gold card case. Rectangular in form with gently curved sides and edges, it is decorated with alternating gold-inlaid bands across the silver body. Opening the case via the thumbpiece reveals a richly gilt interior with a compartment for storing cards. Hallmarked English solid silver (925 standard), Chester, year 1911 (L), Maker's mark SM&Co (Sampson Mordan
Co).
