About the Item
A fine antique Austrian or possibly German inlaid bronze desk stamp holder/lick standing raised on four scroll work feet with a hinged cover with central raised knop, the cover inlaid in silver coloured metal with a scroll work design. The cover opens to reveal four compartments probably for a combination of stamps and water to moisten stamps with a relief moulded floral design to the inside cover. The stamp holder has impressed M.F. to the base along with Geschutzt.
