An antique Japanese enameled wooden box. Late Meiji period, before 1912. The box has a rectangular shape with a black border. The lid features a cloisonne enamel design with traditional Japanese motifs, including butterflies, phoenix, birds, waves, and geometric patterns, in a variety of colors.
