About the Item
Antique hand-made flour box from Sweden made in folk art during the second half of the 19th century, around 1860 to 1870. These boxes were either hung on the wall or placed on the counter with the purpose of storing flour. It is made in Swedish pine and has the original paint with a charming patina and distress after use. The warm pine underneath shines through where the paint is especially worn. The height is measured from the tallest point.
